Hear Us is an annual spring advocacy event hosted by PreventEd for current St. Louis region high school students. They will train and prepare for legislative visits with the State Senator and Representative that is specific to their zip code.
This year, we are offering a series of trainings to prepare for Hear Us. All trainings will be virtual. Each training will cover a different aspect of preparing for the eventual legislative visits. While it is not required to participate in all of the trainings, it is strongly encouraged as all of the sessions build upon each other and offer an opportunity to prepare with the other students that may share their senator or representative.
Students will work with the members of their groups who share their same legislators. During this session, the presentation to legislators, along with relevant materials will be prepared and practiced.
