In this presentation, we will first discuss the landscape of psychedelics, including what psychedelics are, their physiological impact, and current use rates. Then, we will examine research and evidence that indicates the potential for therapeutic benefit, as well as the limitations of those findings. Finally, we will highlight concerns from substance use professionals and stakeholders, as well as possible public health threats to consider from a prevention perspective.
