PreventEd’s Speaker Series is a monthly event that provides a forum for networking, learning, and advocacy regarding the use and misuse of alcohol and other drugs. Participation is open to anyone interested in deepening their understanding of the challenges and opportunities in addressing substance use.
This month’s topic is “Get to Know NAMI St. Louis,” featuring Heather Richardson and Jessie Brown, MA with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) St. Louis.
NAMI St. Louis is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals living with mental health conditions, their families, caregivers, and the community. For over 43 years, NAMI St. Louis has offered peer-led mental health education, support services and advocacy to the St. Louis region at no cost. These educational programs and support services provide tools and resources to assist in the health and well-being of all who have mental health needs. In this presentation, we will learn more about the services and resources NAMI St. Louis offers, as well as the opportunities to get more involved or receive education and support.
This training is free to attend, and one CEU contact hour certificate is available for $5.00.
