Time

10:00 am - 11:00 am

Protective factors: Strategies to support families, build resilience in kids, and mitigate negative and risky outcomes.

This online presentation endeavors to encourage anyone working with children and their families as well as parents and caregivers of young people of all ages to help identify and build youth resiliency skills. During the event, all attendees will learn different strategies to be proactive in young people’s lives and ways to foster resiliency. Considering the stressful times we are living in, youth especially, this training will offer an opportunity to be proactive in mitigating risk and lean into protective factors with the goal of preventing youth substance use.  A certificate of attendance can be provided upon request.

This presentation will be led by Joyce Kariuki, MSW, a Community Strategist at PreventEd.
