Back by popular demand, this presentation will seek to explore the impact of past Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), the affect that those traumatic experiences can have on individuals throughout their life, goals for substance use prevention work, and how trauma could lead to a greater risk of substance use. Attendees will learn about re-traumatization, common signs and symptoms of trauma and re-traumatization, and goals for community work.
Anyone is welcome to attend, but there will be a discussion of trauma which may trigger some individuals who have experienced trauma or other mental health issues in their lives. A certificate of 1.5 Credit Hours will be given to attendees following the presentation. For more information contact Erica Wiley, LCSW, MPS, at [email protected].
