YMHFA is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. Youth Mental Health First Aid is primarily designed for adults who regularly interact with young people.
This course is being offered in-person at PreventEd (9355 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63132). After registering, participants will be sent instructions via email on how to access and complete a prerequisite portion of the training (pre-test) prior to the instructor-led portion on 3/7.
Courses are only open to those who live/work in Missouri. The course is valued at $170 per person, but is being provided to you at no cost by Missouri’s Department of Mental Health. Please ensure this funding does not go to waste by communicating any cancellations in advance. Register below:
