2021 Champion Award: Julie Hahn

PreventEd is honored to present the 2021 Champion Award to Julie Hahn in appreciation of uncommon leadership in advocating for substance use prevention education.

Julie Hahn has more than 30 years of educational experience.  She has served as an assistant superintendent of Student Services, Interventions and Assessment in the Ritenour School District since 2015.  In that role, she has the opportunity to coordinate all programs and services that support students socially and emotionally.   Additionally, she has the honor of collaborating with outside agencies, counselor, social workers, interventionists and EL teachers to create a multi-tiered system of support for students.

Prior to being assistant superintendent, she served as a Director and Behavioral Coach in the Ritenour School District. Before joining Ritenour, Hahn worked as a self-contained for Special School District in the Normandy and Ritenour School Districts.  Her career started in 1987 at Metropolitan School as a special education teacher.

Hahn’s career, energy and passion has focused on supporting the needs of diverse learners, engaging families and students, supporting teachers and working for equity and inclusion.
