Youth Leadership Program

ElevatEd

ElevatEd is a youth coalition that strives to prevent underage drinking and related substance misuse through awareness, education, and advocacy, and to create strong and healthy communities. ElevatEd meetings follow the motto of “safe space, open conversation”. We’re open to all kinds of people, ideas, perspectives, and experiences. No one is expected to be a perfect person. They just need to keep an open mind.

What is ElevatEd?

ElevatEd is a teen-led coalition of 9th – 12th graders. People of all backgrounds and viewpoints are encouraged to join the conversation and share their opinions to achieve a better understanding of one another.

What does ElevatEd do?

We meet to examine the similarities between mental health and outside factors like substance use, as well as promote mental wellness in our community. We use our voices to advocate for substance use prevention and mental health issues that impact the lives of teens.

ElevatEd is also responsible for Hear Us, an annual youth advocacy program and trip to Jefferson City.  For more information about Hear Us, visit this page.

When does ElevatEd meet?

ElevatEd meets every month, and periodically hosts social get together as well.

We meet the third Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm, on zoom.  To learn more about getting involved in ElevatEd, you can connect with Emily Wilkerson.
